Andrew Parfitt took on the role of Executive Chef at Windstar on Naples Bay during a pivotal moment, leading the culinary team through the reopening of two dining venues after a major renovation. Club + Resort Chef (C+RC): How do you feel about being recognized as one of C+RC's 40 Under 40 honorees, and what significance does this achievement hold for you?

Andrew Parfitt (AP): It means everything to be recognized among my peers. With so many amazing chefs out there today, receiving this honor is career-defining. This represents years of dedication to the craft, and to be recognized by such an esteemed organization leaves me speechless.

C+RC: What advice would you offer young chefs aiming to excel in the club and resort culinary industry?

AP: Master the basics before trying to climb the ladder. Build a solid foundation before chasing titles.

C+RC: Can you share a personal challenge you've faced in your career and explain how it has shaped you as a chef?

AP: My aunt was the reason I became a chef, and when she passed away, I was devastated and considered changing career paths. Knowing she wouldn’t have approved, I made it my goal to be the best I could be and to keep pushing the limits of what I can achieve.

C+RC: What are your future goals and your plan to achieve them?

AP: My ultimate goal is to continue mastering my craft and become a master chef. I want to pass along my knowledge to the next generation and positively impact their lives.

C+RC: What inspired your career in the club and resort sector?

AP: The family atmosphere within a club is unlike anything else. You build relationships with members, and they see you as family. To me, family is the most important thing.
