The James Beard Foundation award-winning restaurant and catering entrepreneur will address leading club and resort chefs to kick off Club + Resort Business’ 12th annual Conference, to be held in Charlotte, N.C. from March 1-3, 2020.
Club + Resort Business’ 12th Annual Chef to Chef Conference—to be held in Charlotte, N.C., March 1-3, 2020—will begin with a keynote presentation by James Beard Foundation award-winning celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein, who has drawn widespread acclaim for her culinary skills and as an expert in Latin cooking over the last 25 years.
In addition to being at the helm of her restaurant Café la Trova and Michelle Bernstein Catering in Miami, she has appeared on an array of national TV shows, from “Top Chef” to “Good Morning America” as well as currently hosting “SoFlo Taste” and “Check, Please!” in South Florida. She has also authored a book, Cuisine a Latina.
On March 1st, 2020, Chef Bernstein will highlight the start of C+RB’s 12th annual Conference after an opening reception and plated dinner, by speaking to more than 250 of the club and resort industry’s top culinary professionals about creative and effective approaches to cooking, career growth and leadership.
“I am excited for the opportunity to connect with a room full of my colleagues to discuss our passion for this craft,” says Bernstein. “My hope is to inspire every chef in the room to step outside their comfort zones to try new things and take bigger risks.”
Jerry Schreck, Executive Chef of Merion Golf Club, Ardmore, Pa., and the National Conference Coordinator for the Chef to Chef Conference, notes that Chef Bernstein will continue the tradition of acclaimed Conference keynote addresses over the years that has included appearances by such popular speakers as Chef John D. Folse, CEC, AAC; Jim James, CCM, Senior Director, Club and Hospitality Operations, Augusta (Ga.) National Golf Club; and the late Walter Scheib, former Executive Chef of the Greenbrier Resort and White House Executive Chef under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

In addition to Bernstein’s keynote address, the educational agenda for the 2020 Chef to Chef Conference will once again feature a dynamic lineup of the club and resort industry’s top talent, including several presentations and cooking demonstrations by Certified Master Chefs, who will present on topics tailored to their expertise.
