Executive Chef Brandon Gross has helped members put meal prep on autopilot with this newly created program.
As the pandemic continues into 2021, challenges remain and we continue to evolve. Here at Columbia CC, we continue to cultivate ideas to keep members engaged and connected.
Our latest initiative—Bite Box—was created to encourage members to continue cooking in a fun and exciting way but to do while remaining safely distanced. The concept is similar to many of the meal prep services out there.
Our goal is to provide the membership with diverse recipes that encourage learning a new skill in the comfort of their home but does not take the whole night to prepare. Each Bite Box comes with two recipes, feeds two people and takes 30-45 minutes to prepare. Each costs $58 and there is no monthly commitment or charge.
This weekly service will provide the membership with the option to pick the box up at the club or to have it delivered to their house, free of charge. Our pilot yielded fantastic participation. As we roll Bite Box out at the end of the month to the full membership, we are hoping this is a program that will stay well after restrictions are lifted.
This pandemic has forced our industry to turn and pivot in many ways causing us to think differently and attempt ideas we probably would have not done otherwise. This creative thinking keeps the ideas flowing with our teams and allows for concepts to be “thrown on the wall” to see what sticks. Bite Box has been a great team exercise with both our Front and Back of house leaders and it has not only helped to making our management team much stronger, but our membership more engaged and satisfied.
