Learn Productivity Tips From a Certified Master Chef

By Gerald Ford, CMC | August 12, 2021

Gerald Ford, CMC, Contributing Chef Editor, is giving back to the chef community with a free webinar series to help chefs improve their ability to focus.

Overwhelmed? Distracted? Do you miss the focus you feel like you had 10-15 years ago? I do.

It took me some time to realize the changes weren’t just me. Our world has changed. The one we grew up in is gone and the obstacles we face are new to our generation. The constant stream of pings, dings, emails, flashes, and the tug of war for attention only gets more intense as we continue to level up.

It’s easy to feel like we need renewed focus, but that’s only a third of the equation. We also need to address distraction and over-saturation.  That’s why I put together a free Foundations of Focus Challenge, an intensive training webinar, that will be spread over three days on August 30th, 31st, and September 1st.

Why should you attend?

I am going to teach focus-based strategies that get to results. We will define your highest purpose and explore why the industry needs it more now than ever before. If you put in the work, we will build the infrastructure for delivering consistent results without burning out.

By the end of day one, you will have a clearer understanding of where your focus needs to be to get where you want to go. You will also learn how to adapt the various solutions that have worked for me to get you on a path for continued success.

Day two will be zero in on the enemies of focus and I’ll offer tips and tricks for how you can recognize and overcome them.

During day two, we’ll talk about how to remove the non-sense not serving you. You will test your distractions and learn how to implement the solutions to carve out the time you need to get the results you want without sacrificing what matters most. We will remove time and energy-consuming low-return distractions and introduce free and inexpensive resources, tools and strategies that will turn your smartphone, tablet, and desktop computer back into the productivity tools they are designed to be.

Day three will be all about empowering your focus and learning how to master your habits to get results. I will show you the exact steps needed for transforming from tired and unfulfilled into a master of your craft who thrives in his or her personal and professional life. This is going to happen by discovering how to find and leverage time and overcome the number one obstacle that prevents chefs from ever reaching the goals they set for themselves.

If I’ve learned anything over the course of my career, it’s that high-performance chefs aren’t born. They’re trained. By the end of this three-day webinar, you will have the skills needed to perform at a higher level for the long haul.
