Pedro Sanchez tells C+RC about passing his WSET II exam and his plans to continue furthering his wine knowledge. For Sanchez, learning about wine started as a hobby but is now fully intertwined in his professional life as Executive Chef of BraeBurn Country Club in Houston, Texas.
“I think it makes me a more well-rounded professional, and it shows my dedication to the craft,” Sanchez says. “I think every chef needs to at least go for Level 1 to understand the basics of food-and-wine pairing. I think it’s very important.”
