
Todd Walline, Executive Chef, Kansas City CC
Todd Walline, CEC, CCA, has been Executive Chef of Kansas City Country Club in Mission Hills, Kansas, since 2021. Walline is an international award-winning chef with a career spanning all facets of culinary leadership. He provides expertise in restaurants, hotels, private clubs and career coaching. Walline excels at creative menu development, trend-setting item creation, recipe construction, F&B cost controls, and culture/leadership training.
Walline graduated with an AAS degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management from Johnson County Community College, where he went on to become a member of their culinary team. Walline had been cooking at a club for four years up the street before he accepted the job as Executive Chef of Blue Hills Country Club in 1998, along with becoming the Director of Food and Beverage. During his career of over 20 years with Blue Hills, Walline and his team took their $550,000 F&B operation and grew it to a $2.14 million powerhouse.
Walline’s culinary skills, paired with his innate ability to mentor those around him, are masterful. He deeply appreciates the people he works with and the members he serves. As one of Kansas City’s most well-respected chefs, he also serves on the culinary advisory boards of Flint Hills Technical College and Metropolitan Community College along with being a culinary consultant for other restaurants.
In 2017, Walline won the Mystery Basket competition at the 9th annual Chef to Chef Conference and was named Club + Resort Chef of the Year. In 2019, Walline was also named to the Chef to Chef Advisory Board.
