Club + Resort Chef is now accepting applications for the 2027 Club + Resort Chef of the Year Competition, which will take place live during the 2027 Chef to Chef Conference.
Four club and resort chefs will be selected to compete in head-to-head rounds over the course of the conference. Each day, two chefs will face off in a live cooking challenge, giving attendees a front-row look at how their peers perform under the pressure of competition.
Competitors will have five minutes to set up, 60 minutes to cook and five minutes to plate, followed by a 30-minute station reset. Each chef will prepare a single entrée, with judges evaluating the competitors based on taste, presentation, sanitation and organization.
Competitors are responsible for bringing all ingredients, tools, smallwares and equipment needed to execute their dishes, allowing each chef to plan and prepare for the competition well in advance.
The four chefs will compete in a professionally designed commercial kitchen built specifically for the Club + Resort Chef of the Year Competition and provided by Southbend/Firex.
The competition has become a signature part of the Chef to Chef Conference, putting club chefs and their culinary abilities on stage in front of an audience that understands exactly what goes into executing at a high level.
Who Should Apply?
Club and resort chefs interested in testing their skills against their peers are encouraged to apply. Club + Resort Chef will select four competitors from the applicant pool to participate in the live competition.

2027 Club + Resort Chef of the Year Application
Chefs may apply directly or be nominated by a general manager, culinary leader, or colleague. All submissions will be reviewed by the Chef to Chef Conference organizing team, and selected competitors will be notified by February 1.
